Definition
Plain language
The main personal directory on a computer where a user's own files and settings live.
As stated in the literature
Per-user root directory (e.g. ~ on Unix) where many agent harnesses write session logs by default, inside the same filesystem tree the agent is granted shell access to.
Also called: home directory
Why it matters: If the activity log lives in the same folder the assistant is allowed to edit, the assistant can reach its own record as easily as it reaches your project files.
For example, an assistant's log of today's session might quietly land in a hidden folder inside your home directory, right alongside your documents and settings.
