Plain language
One of several open-source long-term memory systems for AI assistants.
As stated in the literature
A memory framework for LLM agents providing persistent storage and temporal knowledge management, used as a baseline in long-term memory benchmarks.
Why it matters: Persistent memory lets an AI assistant carry useful context across many conversations instead of forgetting everything each time you start over.
For example, an assistant built on this system could remember a preference you mentioned weeks ago and bring it up again when it becomes relevant.
