The automatic usage data a service collects about what happened while you used it.
As stated in the literature
Provider- or infrastructure-side operational logs and metrics; explicitly out of scope in this study, which restricted the blue team to client-machine visibility.
Why it matters: Telemetry sits with the provider rather than the user, so anyone auditing an AI only from their own machine cannot rely on it to reconstruct what happened.
For example, a service might record that your assistant made two hundred requests last Tuesday and how long each one took, without you ever seeing that data.

“The whole conceptual frame — holistic visibility unlocks better scheduling — gets harder to maintain when telemetry has to be coordinated across multiple nodes.”Episode 016 — Why Your Coding Agent Stalls While the GPU Runs Hot
