A guarantee that right after you save something, you'll always see your own change when you look again — never a stale, older copy.
As stated in the literature
A session-consistency guarantee ensuring a client's reads reflect its own prior writes; a standard weak-consistency property proved for causally-consistent stores like Chapar and used as a synthesis target in verified-systems work.
Also called: read your writes
Why it matters: It prevents the jarring experience of your own changes seeming to vanish right after you make them.
For example, after you post a comment, refreshing the page always shows your comment rather than the older version without it.
