A number measuring how close a generated image is to a reference, where higher means more faithful.
As stated in the literature
Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio, a pixel-level image-quality metric used as part of the correctness gate for diffusion-based image generation in agentic serving evaluation.
Why it matters: It gives an objective check on whether a generated image faithfully matches its target, used as part of an acceptance test.
For example, comparing a generated picture to the intended one, a higher PSNR means fewer pixel-level differences between them.
