A synthetic route in which successive reactions occur in the same vessel without isolating intermediates; frequently used as a hazardous-capability probe in safety evaluations.
Also called: one-pot
Why it matters: Because it removes the hardest practical steps, it is a common way to test whether a model will hand over genuinely usable procedures rather than textbook theory.
For example, a cook throws every ingredient into one pan and never transfers anything between dishes.
