Definition

Plain language

A free alternative to Microsoft Office, with a word processor, spreadsheet, and slides.

As stated in the literature

An open-source office productivity suite (Writer, Calc, Impress); a heavily represented application family in computer-use agent benchmarks like OSWorld.

Also called: LibreOffice Calc

Why it matters: It offers a no-cost office suite and acts as a common testbed for whether agents can handle everyday documents and spreadsheets.

For example, you could write a résumé in its Writer, total a budget in Calc, and build slides in Impress, all for free.
