An extra check that asks not just whether a claim has a real source, but whether that source is actually about the thing you asked about.
As stated in the literature
An audit step that verifies the entity in a retrieved supporting document matches the queried entity, catching misattribution errors that faithfulness and citation checks miss.
Why it matters: It catches wrong-subject errors that slip past ordinary source-checking, preventing correct facts from being pinned to the wrong thing.
For example, before trusting an answer about a specific company, this check confirms the cited report is actually about that company and not a different one with a similar name.
